Pictures from todayโs Fingal orienteering event in Malahide castle, pioneering, first aid, map work, knots, singing, air activities and some groups even found time to go to the playground. Well done to all the cubs who took part and to the leaders for making it around the course ๐๐๐
On Sunday 3rd of March Swords 49th cubs set off for an adventure and Climbed Djouce Mountain, with a spectacular views including Lough Tay.
Made all the more exciting by the recent snow fall. (in someplace it was 2feet deep or more.)
At the top they then cooked sausages which became the tastiest and most rewarding hotdogs they have had.
Hailed as the BEST Hike ever by our Cubs we can say it was a lifetime experience for them.
A big well done to our 136th cub Scouts on completing their 20km hike today. From our den in Swords through Malahide Castle and down to Portmarnock beach for lunch and then right along the coastline through Malahide village and then Seabury and back to our den in Swords. ๐๐๐
A massive well done to our three scouts receiving their Cubs Chief Scout Award, Fearghal, Killian and Gavin well done from the 136th cubs . ๐๐๐
49th scouts were in Rostrevor at the weekend.
We started with a night hike on the Narnia trail, returning for lasagna and chips and some games of pool.
On Saturday a cooked breakfast left us equipped to tackle a challenging hike where all scouts reached fabulous heights overlooking Carlingford Lough.
We all enjoyed Hudsonโs oratory skills, โhide the Gavinโ, pool tournament, movie and birthday cake on Saturday night, before pack up on Sunday. I am sure our scouts are very thankful to Storm Debi for the late start to school today!
A great weekend for the 136th cubs on their hostel weekend in Ballyhornan Scout Centre, with Beach Olympics, campfire, singing, investitures, and plenty of fun and games.
